PTA enterprises interested in Cuba business opportunities


PTA president, José Luis Ruiz Espejo, and the Ambassador of Cuba in Spain, Eugenio Martinez Enriquez, presented a workshop to introduce lines of investment in the Latin country

The Technology Park of Andalusia has organized together with the Chamber of Commerce in Málaga and the consulate of Cuba in Seville a work day which the aim to show business and tourist potential of the Cuban territory to companies in the PTA.

Cuba's ambassador explained that the Cuban government has recently adopted a new law for foreign investment to benefit companies who want to invest and develop projects in the country.

During the conference, which was attended by nearly a hundred people, the commercial counselor of the Embassy of Cuba in Spain, José Antonio Fernández Estévez, presented to attendees an update on the trade relations between Cuba and Spain. He mentioned that there are more than 200 small and medium Spanish companies that are already settled in Cuba. In this sense he has explained the benefits of establishing international trade relations especially in the energy, biotechnology, agri-food and ICT sector.

After the speech, companies from PTA had B2B meetings with the Cuban ambassador looking for future collaborations. Finally, the Cuban Delegation took a tour around the park learning more about the way it is managed.
