Utrecht Science Park visits PTA and IASP Headquarters


Floris de Gelder, Director of Utrecht Science Park (USP), The Netherlands, and Hospitality Manager Marleen Kroeze visited IASP Headquarters in Malaga yesterday.

They met with IASP Director General Luis Sanz, the CEO of Andalusia Technology Park (PTA) Felipe Romera, and IASP Chief Operations Officer Ebba Lund. During the meeting they shared a presentation and video about Utrecht and its bid to host the 2016 IASP World Conference. Utrecht Science Park is home to 82 companies, 10 knowledge institutions,  22,000 employees, 50,000 students at the top rated research university in the Netherlands,  as well as 12 Nobel Prize winners.

As part of the visit they toured the PTA for an insight into how it is managed, and explored opportunities for future collaboration between Spain and The Netherlands and between USP and PTA.  They also visited the European Business and Innovation Centre of Malaga (BIC Euronova) as part of the visit.
