Pierre Laffitte inaugurates a street with his name in the PTA


The route of the famous French scientific is in the extension of technopolis

Pierre Laffitte, famous French scientific, has inaugurated a street in the expansion of  the Technological Park of Andalusia (PTA) this morning.

In the opening ceremony, Pierre Laffitte has been accompanied by the PTA president, José Luis Ruiz Espejo, and the mayor of Malaga, Francisco de la Torre. They also attended José Ángel Narváez, vice chancellor of University Coordination, Luis Sanz, general director of the International Association of Science Parks  (IASP), and Felipe Romera, director of the PTA.

Laffitte has shown excited by the recognition that has been given to put his name to this street. "For me it is an honor to be present in Malaga thanks to this street, especially in the PTA" he noted.

For his part, José Luis Ruiz Espejo has stressed Pierre Laffitte as an innovative and scientific person, who undoubtedly "will also be an incentive for our companies and for our park."

"For us is a pleasure to have Pierre Laffitte, and more is to dedicate a street with his name, because that way we will always be him in mind in our actions," said the president of PTA.

Also, the mayor of Malaga has stressed Laffitte as a key person in the development of the science and technology parks worldwide.

De la Torre, has pointed out the similarities between the French Riviera and the Costa del Sol of Malaga as a sign to reflect a successful model, as in the case of Sophia Antipolis, Technology Park developed by Laffitte, in Malaga .

The director of the IASP, Luis Sanz, also noted that Pierre Laffitte was the founder of the International Association of Science Parks  (IASP) that is currently housed in the PTA.

During his visit to PTA, Pierre Laffitte has also participated as a speaker at the Summer Course of University of Málaga that these days are being held in the park, where has offered a conference based on cooperation between centers of global excellence.
