The Aeronautical Systems Cluster strengthens its relationship with Airbus and Aerospace Valley


PTA entrepreneurs have kept ten business meetings in Toulouse with major aerospace companies worldwide

The Aeronautical Systems Cluster of Technology Park of Andalusia (PTA) and the Aerospace Valley companies and Airbus have strengthened their relationship after the trade mission that made the Andalusian delegation to Toulouse, led by the PTA president, José Luis Ruiz Espejo, and the mayor of Málaga, Francisco de la Torre.

Specifically, ten companies and organizations, among which are Aertec, AEI (Advanced Engineering & Innovation), Texas Tech, ATyges, Ayuntamiento de Málaga, Fundación Propeller, Fujitsu Ten, Technological Park of Andalusia, Raytheon and the University of Málaga, have participated in the mission.

Jose Luis Ruiz Espejo has rated the trip as very positive because "it has contributed to strengthening business relationships and give more visibility to the existing sector in Malaga".

For the president of the PTA these international meetings "are the key to strengthen the sector" in order to establish new business alliances and he noted that, for example, Aertec is already one of the companies certified by Airbus.

For his part, Antonio Gómez-Guillamón, director of Aertec Solutions, highlighted the work done by the Cluster over the last year to publicize aeronautical systems companies in Airbus and Aerospace Valley environment, who has valued positively to companies of this group.

Andalusian entrepreneurs were received in the city of Toulouse by the highest authority of the city and held business meetings with companies affiliated to Aerospace Valley.

The mission also included a visit to Airbus and its Flight Test Center, after to participate in the "International Exhibition & Business Convention ', a fair that involve the most innovative companies of aeronautical sector national and international.

At the end of the journey, the delegation held a meeting with the general secretary and director of Institutional Relations at Airbus, Alfredo Martinez, the director of Institutional Relations of Airbus Defense & Space in Andalusia, Rocio Caparros, and the consul of Spain in Toulouse, Damaso de Lario.
