A group of representatives from the Latin American Union of Municipalities visit the PTA
A group of representatives from the Latin American Union of Municipalities (UIM) visited the Headquarters of the Technology Park on 11th September. José Luis Ruiz Espejo, CEO of PTA, and Aline Daniel, International Projects Manager, explained the functioning of the park and its history.
“The visit is related to the relation which the park maintains around the globe,” claimed Ruiz Espejo, who explained the last 25 years of the PTA. On the other hand, Aline Daniel detailed the relation between the PTA and Latin America.
The park develops different kind of actions, such as visits. Every year, around 50 visits take place in the park, with 20% coming from Latin America entities, universities, technology parks and public entities, which come to know the development model of the park and its ecosystem. The topics discussed in these visits are the following:
- Knowing the development model of the park and its ecosystem
- Transference of technology and knowledge
- Transference of The Green Ray model
- Establishment of a coordinated action plan
- Establishment of a softlanding program
Regarding specific actions, the PTA collaborates with several entities through agreements, whose aim is to foster and enhance business, industrial and technology relations between Andalusia and international entities.
Cooperation events are also developed, such as the event “Proyecto Horizonte” in 2017 with Brazil or the exchange of good practices in technology transfer between Argentina and Spain in 2017.
