{"id":10436,"date":"2022-01-18T10:11:46","date_gmt":"2022-01-18T10:11:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pta.es\/?p=10436"},"modified":"2022-01-18T10:11:46","modified_gmt":"2022-01-18T10:11:46","slug":"the-hedy-lamarr-women-and-technology-chair-is-born-with-the-collaboration-of-malaga-techpark","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pta.es\/en\/noticias\/the-hedy-lamarr-women-and-technology-chair-is-born-with-the-collaboration-of-malaga-techpark\/","title":{"rendered":"The &#8216;Hedy Lamarr&#8217; Women and Technology Chair is born with the collaboration of Malaga TechPark"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li>\n<h6><strong style=\"font-size: 1.3rem; letter-spacing: 0em;\">The chair has the collaboration of several companies in the park, such as Accenture, Dekra Testing and Certification, Ericsson Spain, Keysight Technologies and Avanade, as well as Google Ireland Limited -member of the M\u00e1laga TechPark Execs Executives Club- and Metro M\u00e1laga<\/strong><\/h6>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">\n<h6><strong>Promoting activities that contribute to the participation of women in technology and increasing their presence in technology degrees are the main objectives of this initiative.<\/strong><\/h6>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.uma.es\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">University of Malaga<\/a> together with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uma.es\/etsi-de-telecomunicacion\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Escuela T\u00e9cnica Superior de Ingenier\u00eda de Telecomunicaci\u00f3n<\/a>, has launched the &#8216;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.catedralamarr.uma.es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Hedy Lammar&#8217; Women and Technology Chair<\/a>, whose main objectives are to promote activities that contribute to the participation of women in technology; to contribute to the empowerment of women in technology companies; as well as to increase their presence in the degrees of this sector.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This program,\u00a0 directed by the professor of Communications Engineering Mar\u00eda del Carmen Aguayo Torres, has counted on the participation of Malaga TechPark in its implementation, as well as with the collaboration of several companies in the park, such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pta.es\/empresas\/accenture-outsourcing-services-s-a\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Accenture<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pta.es\/empresas\/dekra-testing-and-certification-s-a-u\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Dekra Testing and Certification<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pta.es\/empresas\/ericsson\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ericsson Spain<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pta.es\/empresas\/keysight-agilent\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Keysight Technologies<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pta.es\/empresas\/avanade-spain-s-l-u\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Avanade<\/a>, as well as <a href=\"http:\/\/google.es\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Google Ireland Limited<\/a> -member of the Malaga TechPark Execs Executives Club- and <a href=\"https:\/\/metromalaga.es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Metro M\u00e1laga<\/a>, which all act as patrons of the same. In addition, the School of Industrial Engineering and the MECYT are also participating in this initiative.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Board Room of the ETSI Telecommunications hosted the presentation of this initiative, which was attended by the Vice-Rector for Research and Transfer, Teodomiro L\u00f3pez; the Director of the ETSI Telecommunications, Rafael Godoy; the Director of Malaga Techpark, Felipe Romera; the Director of Ericsson&#8217;s R&amp;D Centre in Malaga, Juan Manuel Melero; the Director of the Lecture, Mar\u00eda del Carmen Aguayo; as well as other representatives of the collaborating companies.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With this program, the UMA spreads the concerns of companies to society.
