{"id":14577,"date":"2023-06-07T10:40:27","date_gmt":"2023-06-07T10:40:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pta.es\/?p=14577"},"modified":"2023-06-07T10:46:35","modified_gmt":"2023-06-07T10:46:35","slug":"more-than-a-hundred-people-participate-in-the-first-meeting-between-companies-and-computer-science-teachers-organised-by-the-teachers-centre-of-malaga-and-caixabank-dualiza-in-malaga-techpark","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pta.es\/en\/noticias\/more-than-a-hundred-people-participate-in-the-first-meeting-between-companies-and-computer-science-teachers-organised-by-the-teachers\/","title":{"rendered":"More than a hundred people participate in the first meeting between companies and computer science teachers organised by the Teachers Centre of M\u00e1laga and CaixaBank Dualiza in M\u00e1laga TechPark"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li>\n<h6><strong>The event aims to bridge the gap between the training provided in schools and the companies\u2019 needs, in order to match the students\u2019 profiles to companies, improving their employability and abilities.<\/strong><\/h6>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">CaixaBank Dualiza and the Teachers Centre of M\u00e1laga, under the Regional Ministry of Education and Vocational Training from the Junta de Andaluc\u00eda (Andalusian regional government), organised today in M\u00e1laga TechPark the first meeting in the region between the main technology companies in M\u00e1laga and the vocational training teachers from the different public schools in the province of M\u00e1laga, where the different vocational training courses and specialised courses in Computer Science and Telecommunications are taught.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">More than a hundred people attended this event fostered by the Dinamizadores de Formaci\u00f3n Profesional Dual de M\u00e1laga (Promoters of Dual Vocational Education and Training of M\u00e1laga), who are part of the RADFPD (Red Andaluza de Dinamizaci\u00f3n de la Formaci\u00f3n Profesional Dual; Andalusian Network of Dual Vocational Training Promotion), which falls under the jurisdiction of the General Directorate of Vocational Education and Training.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The teachers\u2019 objective of this meeting was to identify what the companies are looking for, what types of professional profiles and abilities they are interested in and what job vacancies need to be filled, which could perfectly match the students\u2019 skills acquired in Vocational Education and Training (VET) courses.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In short, the aim is to bridge the gap between the training taught in schools and the companies\u2019 needs, adapting students\u2019 profiles to job opportunities.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Miguel Briones, representative for Education and Vocational Training, highlighted the importance of holding these kinds of meetings that promote an exchange of ideas and contribute to the creation of collaborative projects and actions between companies of the province and schools. Furthermore, Briones remarked the strong commitment of the Regional Ministry of Education to Vocational Training and Dual Vocational Education and Training as a strategic pillar for quality education, which allows students to be qualified for what the companies and production sectors are increasingly demanding.<\/span><\/p>\n<h6><b>Objectives<\/b><\/h6>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The aim of the meeting is to involve companies in the training process of Vocational Training students, contributing to the promotion of dual vocational training, as stipulated in the new regulations, and fostering additional training that contributes to improving the employability of students, such as training in Angular, Azure, AWS, Cisco, Citric, Java, Linux, Microsoft, Oracle, PHP, Python and .net.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Among other objectives, this event aims to boost the creation of projects between companies and teachers, and to build collaborative networks between schools and companies in the area. In addition, it also focuses on promoting talent, development, training and empowerment of VET students.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On the other hand, the event is a commitment to innovation and lifelong learning for teachers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Other key factors of the meeting were adapting training to the real needs of industry, promoting more practical training that is more closely related to business demands and showing the VET students the real labour situation.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The VET courses include: courses with great employment opportunities such as Computer Systems Administration, Web Application Development, Multi-Platform Application Development, Telecommunications and Computer Systems, Microcomputer Systems and Networks. Moreover, teachers also teach different Specialisation Courses in Cybersecurity in Information Technology Environments, Cybersecurity for Operational Technology Environments, Video Game Development and Virtual Reality, Artificial Intelligence and Big Data.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h6><b>Participants<\/b><\/h6>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Among the participants who attended the event, there were around 80 teachers from different schools where VET courses are taught: IES Campanillas, I.E.S. Pablo Picasso, I.E.S. Gerald Brenan, I.E.S. Bel\u00e9n, I.E.S. Polit\u00e9cnico Jes\u00fas Mar\u00edn, I.E.S. Playamar, I.E.S. Los Montecillos, I.E.S. Ciudad Jard\u00edn, I.E.S. Jorge Guill\u00e9n, I.E.S. Pedro Espinosa, I.E.S. Mart\u00edn de Aldehuela, I.E.S. La Rosaleda, I.E.S. Serran\u00eda, I.E.S. Bezmiliana, I.E.S. Guadalp\u00edn, I.E.S. Monterroso, I.E.S. Al-Baytar, I.E.S. Mar de Albor\u00e1n, I.E.S. Miguel Romero Esteo, I.E.S. Alta Axarqu\u00eda, I.E.S. Portada Alta, I.E.S. Almenara, I.E.S. C\u00e1novas del Castillo, I.E.S. Mart\u00edn Rivero, I.E.S.
