{"id":14901,"date":"2023-07-19T10:20:07","date_gmt":"2023-07-19T10:20:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pta.es\/?p=14901"},"modified":"2023-07-19T10:20:34","modified_gmt":"2023-07-19T10:20:34","slug":"the-ricardo-valle-foundation-and-the-cdti-bring-public-funding-opportunities-for-innovative-companies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pta.es\/en\/noticias\/the-ricardo-valle-foundation-and-the-cdti-bring-public-funding-opportunities-for-innovative-companies\/","title":{"rendered":"The Ricardo Valle Foundation and the CDTI bring public funding opportunities for innovative companies"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">\n<h6><strong>Innova IRV gathered more than 50 companies in its second INNO-DAY held in BIC Euronova, an event that focuses on promoting collaborative innovation projects and digital entrepreneurship.<\/strong><\/h6>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h6><strong>New measures of the CDTI (Centre for the Development of Technology and Innovation) regarding the support of technology companies were presented, such as Transmisiones 2023 and the Innvierte funding, among others.<\/strong><\/h6>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/innovairv.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><b>Ricardo Valle Institute of Innovation Foundation (Innova IRV)<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> celebrated the INNO-DAY event on 12 July, which was held in M\u00e1laga TechPark, more specifically in the BIC Euronova facilities (European Centre of Companies and Innovation in M\u00e1laga). The event was attended by more than 50 companies, researchers, experts and institutions that are part of the national innovation ecosystem.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The welcoming speech was given by <\/span><b>Jos\u00e9 Manuel Leceta<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, general director of Innova IRV, in which he highlighted that \u201cthis event, which is the second that Innova IRV organises this year, aims to activate the innovation community and connect with the national and international ecosystems of companies, entrepreneurs, researchers and experts that can be accelerated with the CDTI\u2019s support.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The event started with the congress called \u201cSupport and growth of technology companies\u201d, where <\/span><b>Javier Ponce<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, general manager of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdti.es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">CDTI<\/a>, presented new instruments and public aids for business and innovation in the fields of R&amp;D, such as the <\/span><b>Innvierte<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> funding or the <\/span><b>TransMisiones 2023<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> initiative, which is coordinated by the CDTI and by the Spanish State Research Agency (AEI) and will allocate \u20ac130 million to subsidise R&amp;D projects in order to promote the public-private collaboration in R&amp;D&amp;I.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The participants showed great interest in both programs, which are considered new solutions to the challenges that the European Union is facing to move towards a digital, eco-friendly and inclusive transformation. Enabling technologies play an essential role.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Then, a round table conference was held where they tackled topics such as the circular economy, cybersecurity and connected vehicles. <\/span><b>Rafael S\u00e1nchez<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, vice president of Circular Economy at Innova IRV and general manager of Endesa in Andalusia and Extremadura, <\/span><b>Patricia Gal\u00e1n<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, co-founder and CEO of Tamiza and <\/span><b>Juan Carlos Mora<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, vice president of Connectivity at DEKRA, participated in this round table conference.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The chairman of the debate was <\/span><b>Federico Fl\u00f3rez<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, former managing director of Ferrovial and winner of the CIO Awards of Innovation in 2016 by the Forbes magazine. Moreover, he has a broad experience in sustainable information and innovation systems.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The INNO-DAY events are supported by AMETIC so that they become a recurring event <\/span><b>to shape new ideas and projects in Innova IRV\u2019S areas of work<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. In March, they tackled topics such as Artificial Intelligence, Industry 4.0 and Food Tech. A third INNO-DAY event will take place in October, focusing on topics like Health, Advanced Communications and Systems, thus boosting the fields on which the Foundation works, together with Microelectronics.<\/span><\/p>\n<h6><b>INNOVA IRV<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/h6>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Ricardo Valle Institute of Innovation Foundation (Innova IRV) in M\u00e1laga is the first node of a <\/span><b>national network of top-level business innovation clusters<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> promoted by AMETIC.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This model, inspired by the German Fraunhofer Institute, is developed to boost competitiveness, to attract investment and to encourage the creation of tech-based companies.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Innova IRV&#8217;s vocation is <\/span><b>national while its magnitude is global<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, creating demand in current and potential markets to foster knowledge.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Foundation is promoted by M\u00e1laga City Council, the Junta de Andaluc\u00eda (Andalusian regional government), through the Consejer\u00eda de Universidades, Investigaci\u00f3n e Innovaci\u00f3n (regional Ministry of Universities, Research and Innovation), Miramar Group, Sando Foundation and Mayoral.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Innova is comprised of collaborating entities such as Accenture, Aeorum, Aertec, Agencia Digital de Andaluc\u00eda (Digital Agency of Andalusia), Ametic, Bic Euronova, Dekra, Diputaci\u00f3n de M\u00e1laga (M\u00e1laga Provincial Council), Endesa, Ericsson, Esesa, Famadesa, Google, M\u00e1laga TechPark, Orange, Premo, Sim\u00f3n, Tin\u00e1mica, Top Digital, Trops, Tupl, University of Granada, University of M\u00e1laga, Unicaja, University of Seville, Vodafone, Telef\u00f3nica, CSG Ingenier\u00eda, Iturri and Smart Health TV Solution. Eurecat, Atarfil, Anovo and the Municipal Tourism Office joined the Foundation as collaborators in June.<\/span><\/p>\n<h6><b>BIC Euronova<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/h6>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pta.es\/empresas\/bic-euronova-s-a\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">BIC Euronova<\/a> is the European Business and Innovation Centre (CEEI) in M\u00e1laga, a pioneering incubator of innovative companies in the city, based in M\u00e1laga TechPark.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Founded in 1991 at the initiative of the European Community Commission, BIC Euronova is 40% owned by the Regional Ministry for Economy, Finance and European Funds of the Regional Government of Andalusia through the IDEA Agency (part of TRADE), 40% owned by the M\u00e1laga City Council (Prom\u00e1laga) and 20% by Unicaja Bank.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">BIC Euronova\u2019s mission is to support the creation, incubation, consolidation and internationalisation of innovative SMEs, to boost new activities in the existing SMEs and to advise entrepreneurs and public institutions on innovation, in order to promote the endogenous generation of wealth and employment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Since its establishment more than 30 years ago, BIC Euronova has contributed to the creation and consolidation of over 520 innovative companies and 5,250 qualified jobs. The technologies being developed by the companies hosted in BIC Euronova are mainly Augmented Reality, AI, e-health, autonomous vehicles, additive manufacturing, machine learning, big data, data mining, cybersecurity, new materials and aerospace photovoltaics.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">BIC Euronova is integrated in the European Business Network (EBN), which brings together more than 250 BICs throughout Europe. It is a certified EU|BIC since the beginning of its activity, a label endorsed by the European Commission and that BIC Euronova periodically renews.
