{"id":17834,"date":"2024-04-15T09:21:39","date_gmt":"2024-04-15T09:21:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pta.es\/?p=17834"},"modified":"2024-04-25T11:35:00","modified_gmt":"2024-04-25T11:35:00","slug":"apte-closes-the-6th-edition-of-its-project-science-and-technology-in-feminine","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pta.es\/en\/noticias\/apte-closes-the-6th-edition-of-its-project-science-and-technology-in-feminine\/","title":{"rendered":"APTE closes the 6th edition of its project \u2018Ciencia y Tecnolog\u00eda en femenino\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li>\n<h6 class=\"w-post-elm post_title us_custom_8e46ea77 entry-title\">\u2018<strong>\u2018Ciencia y Tecnolog\u00eda en femenino\u2019\u00a0aimes to promote scientific and technological vocations among young female audiences in order to reduce the gender gap in STEAM studies.<\/strong><\/h6>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h6><strong>During the closing ceremony, the main results obtained will be presented and a round table will be held to discuss the promotion of leadership, entrepreneurship and STEAM vocations among young women.<\/strong><\/h6>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The initiative \u2018Ciencia y Tecnolog\u00eda en femenino\u2019 (&#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.apte.org\/ciencia-tecnologia-en-femenino\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Science and Technology in Feminine<\/a>&#8220;) aimed at promoting scientific and technological vocations among young female audiences, promoted by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.apte.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Association of Science and Technology Parks of Spain (APTE),<\/a> will publish the main results of its 6th edition next Thursday at the Puerta de Toledo Campus of Carlos III University (UC3M) in the presence of the Director of the Women and Science Unit of the Ministry of Science, Innovation, and Universities, Silvia Rueda<\/p>\n<p>The event will also have the support of Legan\u00e9s Tecnol\u00f3gico, the Science Park of Carlos III University in Madrid, through the presence of Beatriz L\u00f3pez-Boada, Vice-Rector for Sustainable Development, Cooperation, and Healthy Campuses of UC3M, and the President of APTE, Felipe Romera<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During the closing ceremony, Lole Franco, who is in charge of the project, will present the main results of this 6th edition, which started on November 13th and in which the 17 participating science and technology parks have organized a total of 46 sessions to raise awareness and promote studies in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics among 4,000 high school students from 63 educational centers across Spain.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Additionally, a roundtable will be held to discuss the promotion of leadership, entrepreneurship, and STEAM vocations among young women. This roundtable will feature the participation of Mar\u00eda Marced, Corporate Director, former President of TSMC Europe and former General Manager of INTEL EMEA; Emma Fern\u00e1ndez, Independent Director of Axway, Digital Consumer Bank, Iskaypet, and Metrovacesa; Ana Ye Zhang, CEO and Founder of Ownmed Innovation; and Sara Correyero, COO and Co-founder of Ienai Space. The roundtable will be moderated by Soledad D\u00edaz, Managing Director of APTE.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With this initiative, APTE aims to contribute to reducing the gender gap in STEAM studies and fields.
