It\u00b4s president,\u00a0 Pedro Mier, presented the Association&#8217;s potential for collaboration at the<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/uma.es\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> University of Malaga<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, in an event that aimed to promote the participation of professors and researchers in the different committees of the association.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The presentation, held at the Faculty of Education Sciences, was attended by the rector of the University of Malaga, Teodomiro L\u00f3pez, AMETIC president, Pedro Mier, and the director of the Innovation and Technological Cooperation Office (UMA innTech), Javier L\u00f3pez, as well as over fifty professors and researchers from various centers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The rector welcomed the top representative of AMETIC and emphasized the importance of the recent membership of the University of Malaga in the Association,\u00a0 which has opened up opportunities to establish important avenues of collaboration between the two entities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">AEMET, the employers&#8217; association of the Spanish digital industry, with nearly 50 years of experience, brings together leading global companies in the technology and digital sector, as well as SMEs, public entities and technology parks, thus becoming a key player in technological innovation, which is essential to the country&#8217;s competitiveness.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Director of the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">UMA innTech <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">office contextualized the collaboration between the university and AMETIC within the activities of this new office, which was inaugurated last June as a clear reference for Technological Innovation at UMA. Its main objective is to create new opportunities and promote initiatives for innovation and technological development that involve the university community in a cross-cutting manner.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Afterwards, Pedro Mier explained how AMETIC works, that it has 21 committees for the development of its activities, and that its purpose is to analyse and highlight areas that are important for the promotion of the sector and the defence of the common interests of the associated entities. Thanks to the efforts of these teams, AMETIC can serve as a reliable interlocutor for the digital technology industry with public administration and other stakeholders.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Finally, Javier L\u00f3pez explained the procedure for the participation of UMA professors and researchers in the different AMETIC Commissions and Working Groups.
