Organized by the Technological Sciences Section of the Academy, the event featured a round table discussion followed by a debate titled <\/span><b>\u201cThe Andalusian Technology Park: Its relationship with the University and the City of M\u00e1laga.\u201d<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The session was moderated by academicians Rafael Mart\u00edn Delgado and Rafael Morales Bueno.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Participants of the round table were people linked to institutions involved in the creation and management of this scientific and technological dynamization hub, who, subsequently, possess a deep understanding of the mission they fulfill.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The participants of the round table were: Telecommunication engineer, General Director of <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pta.es\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">M\u00e1laga TechPark<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and Honorary doctorate of the University of M\u00e1laga <\/span><b>Felipe Romera Lubias<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">; Architect and Head of the Architecture and Infrastructure Department of the M\u00e1laga City Council, <\/span><b>Javier P\u00e9rez de la Fuente<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">; PhD in Computer Engineering and Professor of Telematics Engineering at the University of M\u00e1laga, <\/span><b>Javier L\u00f3pez Mu\u00f1oz<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The establishment of the Technological Park in M\u00e1laga, now <\/span><b>M\u00e1laga TechPark (MTP)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, was agreed upon between the Andalusian Regional Government and the M\u00e1laga City Council in 1988, and inaugurated in 1992. It has brought significant economic and employment value to the city.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Choosing Malaga and its surrounding as the residence for employees of the park, has given incredible boost to the development of these locations. The creation of the park has had a significant impact on the university which created new science and technical disciplines in order to respond to the demand of graduates for the business within MTP.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The relationship between MTP and the university has been highly fruitful, leading to the development of academic plans tailored to the existing demand. The integration of MTP into the city required addressing some connectivity issues with the capital.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The plans for the development of the territory have adapted their forecasts to this new reality. However, the commuting of individuals working at MTP from their places of residence, particularly from the capital, has been resolved more slowly than desirable. Thus, MTP has emerged as a scientific, cultural, and recreational environment with significant synergy.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>With the participation of Felipe
