Digital fraud, money laundering, and terrorism financing have become structural threats, putting the reputation and security of organizations in a tight position.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The 2022-2023 Report from SEPBLAC (Executive Service of the Commission for the Prevention of Money Laundering and Monetary Offenses) indicates that the number of suspicious activity reports increased by 8% in 2023, continuing the upward trend that began in 2022 (+12%).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Breaking down by type of underlying offense, fraud led with a notable 21% rise in 2023 (up 59% compared to 2020), followed by tax offenses (+33%) and participation in criminal organizations (+8%).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Data reported for 2024 shows this upward trend continuing, with 24,320 suspicious activity reports analyzed, compared to 13,854 in 2023 \u2014 a 76% year-on-year increase.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">These figures reflect a direct impact on customer and investor confidence, placing prevention as a top priority for boards of directors and regulators.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Against this backdrop, OPPLUS and EB\u00cdSUM have formed a strategic alliance aimed at turning regulatory compliance into a powerful shield against financial crime.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The partnership combines OPPLUS\u2019 expertise in managing critical operational processes, from its headquarters in M\u00e1laga TechPark, with EB\u00cdSUM\u2019s specialization in compliance and regulatory consulting.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThe increase in financial crime forces organizations to evolve their compliance models.
