Carolina España, Minister of Economy, Finance and European Funds of the Andalusian Government and President of Málaga TechPark, and Antoni Costa, Minister of Economy, Finance and Innovation of the Balearic Islands Government and President of the Bit Foundation, signed a collaboration agreement this morning at Málaga TechPark. The goal is to promote interregional cooperation in innovation, business development, and digital transformation.
The agreement marks a significant step towards a strategic alliance between the leading technology parks in Southern Europe: Málaga TechPark and ParcBit. The signing ceremony at the headquarters of Málaga’s tech hub highlights a shared commitment to fostering talent, entrepreneurship, and innovation through knowledge exchange, best practices, and joint projects.
“This agreement represents a strategic alliance between two drivers of technological innovation in Spain. At Málaga TechPark, we are committed to real cooperation between regions that share a future vision based on knowledge, technology, and talent,” stated Carolina España, Minister of Economy, Finance, and European Funds of the Andalusian Government and President of Málaga TechPark.
Antoni Costa, Minister of Economy, Finance, and Innovation of the Balearic Islands Government and President of the Bit Foundation, affirmed: “This collaboration reinforces our commitment to connecting ParcBit with other leading ecosystems, facilitating the international expansion of our startups and creating a favorable environment for talent attraction and retention.”
Collaboration in key areas
This two-year renewable agreement lays the groundwork for collaborative initiatives in key areas such as business digitalization, sustainability, technology transfer, and the internationalization of the business ecosystem. It establishes a cooperation framework to promote joint initiatives in innovation, technological development, entrepreneurship, and business internationalization. The objective of this agreement is to strengthen ties between the tech communities of both regions, create synergies, and multiply opportunities for start-ups, SMEs, and large companies.
Planned actions include knowledge exchange and best practices in managing innovation environments, with a focus on promoting smart and sustainable infrastructures, real estate management, communications, and business mobility will be encouraged through programs enabling companies and professionals to carry out temporary activities in both parks.
Another key pillar of the agreement is the promotion of the internationalization of startups and innovative projects by supporting joint participation in European calls, funding programs, and international cooperation networks.
Representing the Andalusian Government, Secretary General of Economy José Manuel Alba attended the signing alongside the Minister. Málaga TechPark’s General Director Felipe Romera and Technology Outreach Director Natalia Pérez were also present
Visit to Accenture
As part of the official program, the delegation visited Accenture’s Advanced Technology Center in Málaga, an international benchmark in cutting-edge technological solutions. They were welcomed by Antonio de la Priteta, Managing Director for the Southern EMEA region, and Nuria Iglesias, Head of Culture and Delivery.

During the tour, the vital role played by the center was highlighted, with over 1,300 professionals leading projects worldwide in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, applied innovation, and software development.
Accenture has maintained a strong position in Málaga for over 25 years and has consolidated its presence with strategic projects such as the building of an IA global hub in collaboration with NVIDIA, and the operation of its European Security Operations Center from the city.
