As part of the project activities, Málaga TechPark participated in the visit to the French Centre of Professional Excellence that took place in Belfort
H2Excellence is a European initiative aimed at expanding the training offer in the fuel cell and green hydrogen industry. As part of the project’s activities, Málaga TechPark took part in a visit to the French Centre of Vocational Excellence held in Belfort, an industrial hub in the hydrogen value chain focused on equipment manufacturing, refuelling infrastructure, and new industries linked to storage.
During the meeting, members of the consortium participated in several activities designed to familiarize them with the local ecosystem, such as the European Hydrogen Careers Day, which included a masterclass on the economic development of hydrogen in Europe and a session dedicated to transnational initiatives and hydrogen transport projects. A panel on training and skills was also held, a key space for addressing the growing demand for specialized professionals in this sector.
The Spanish Technopark also had the opportunity to visit the FC Lab research and technology support centre, a benchmark in hydrogen systems research with more than 25 years of experience, and H2SYS, a company dedicated to developing electric generators based on fuel cells and energy intelligence. Both visits provided first-hand insight into real solutions for the energy transition.
Finally, on the third day, the general meeting of the H2Excellence project took place, during which the progress of the activities was reviewed and the next steps in training, cooperation, and strengthening the European hydrogen ecosystem were discussed.
