BIC Euronova, the European Centre for Business and Innovation in Málaga, paid tribute this morning to Microambiental by including it in its prestigious ‘Hall of Fame’. This recognition honours those companies whose establishment and development within BIC Euronova have led to sustained growth and a reputation for excellence within the business community.
The recognition ceremony was attended by Antonio García Acedo, Regional Delegate for Economy, Finance, European Funds, Universities, Industry, Energy and Innovation in Málaga for the Regional Government of Andalusia and President of BIC Euronova; the Executive Director of BIC Euronova, Álvaro Simón de Blas; and Dr Ingrid Mateo, founding partner and CEO of Microambiental, who was delighted to receive this recognition.
Microambiental was founded at BIC Euronova, located in Málaga TechPark, in the year 2000, and operated from within the centre until 2024, completing a successful cycle of consolidation as a leader and benchmark in agri-food safety, with a track record spanning more than a quarter of a century.
BIC Euronova, the European Business and Innovation Centre in Málaga, which will very soon celebrate 35 years as a pioneer in supporting the creation, incubation, consolidation and internationalisation of innovative companies. Endorsed by the European Commission’s EUBIC brand, it has contributed, since its foundation in 1991, to the consolidation of the Andalusian Technology Park, Málaga TechPark, and to the city’s economic and business development; notably through its support and guidance for the innovative companies that have emerged from its centre and which are now well-established businesses with significant presence in international markets.
By entering BIC Euronova’s “Hall of Fame”, Microambiental consolidates its legacy as a success story within Málaga’s innovation ecosystem and as an undisputed leader in the fields of biotechnology and agri-food safety.
BIC Euronova Hall of Fame
MICROAMBIENTAL has joined BIC Euronova’s “Hall of Fame”, alongside other highly successful companies that have also founded or carried out their activities at the European Business and Innovation Centre in Málaga, based at Málaga TechPark.
A total of 20 companies, including Ingenia, King’s Buffet, Aertec Solutions, Hispasec, Arelance, Lynka, Sequel, EPES-061, Bioazul, ICCS, BCS Consultores, Ingho, AMG Ingenieros, Byevolution, Animum, Solbyte, Stockholm Precision Tools, DHV Technology, Ebury and MicroAmbiental, currently make up the BIC Euronova “Hall of Fame”, to which new companies that stand out for their track record will be added over time. When selecting the companies that will be honoured, BIC Euronova has established a series of criteria that they must meet, relating to job creation, business consolidation, international presence and/or industrial production.
Microambiental, alongside Bioazul, stand out in BIC Euronova’s Hall of Fame as success stories of female leadership in business innovation.
