Málaga TechPark has hosted the in-person workshop ‘How to move from your R&D&I project idea to CDTI funding for start-ups’, an initiative promoted by the INCYDE Foundation. This training event, which took place at The Green Lemon and will continue on 4 November, brought together a large group of start-ups and innovative companies from Málaga linked to technology and science-based sectors. The session was organised as an intensive programme combining advanced technical training with practical case studies and collaborative working exercises.

The main aim of this training was to equip participants with the knowledge needed to identify opportunities for disruptive innovation within their organisations, transforming them into robustly structured R&D&I projects. Throughout the workshop, the entrepreneurs learnt how to formulate highly competitive proposals that meet the rigorous evaluation and funding criteria set by the Centre for Technological Development and Innovation. At the same time, the event served as a catalyst for generating synergies and promoting the international transfer of business technology, factors that are essential for increasing the survival rate of new solutions without creating dependencies.

By organising this type of high-value-added event, Málaga TechPark demonstrates that public-private collaboration is the key formula for driving investment in the deep tech sector and scaling up disruptive projects. This strong support for the consolidation of tech-based companies forms part of its vision to establish itself as the multi-sector hub of southern Europe. The ongoing revitalisation of the business fabric and the transfer of knowledge are fundamental pillars of a technological ecosystem focused on attracting qualified talent and fostering high-return investment on a global scale.

This commitment to international leadership is underpinned by the economic and social impact of a site established as the primary link between science, business and investment. Currently, Málaga TechPark is home to more than 715 companies, which generate an annual turnover in excess of 4,800 million euros and employ more than 29,000 professionals. Through its firm commitment to the development of critical areas such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and microelectronics, the Park continues to establish itself as a pioneering corporate environment that also offers an exceptional ecosystem designed for both working and living.
