The Málaga-based CEEI BIC Euronova and the National Cybersecurity Institute (INCIBE) are launching the second edition of the CYBERSECURITY VENTURES Acceleration Program to promote innovation and digital security, following the success of the first edition held at BIC Euronova in late 2024
BIC Euronova, the European Business and Innovation Center (CEEI) of Málaga, in collaboration with the National Cybersecurity Institute (INCIBE), a body attached to the Ministry for Digital Transformation and Civil Service through the Secretary of State for Telecommunications and Digital Infrastructure, is launching the second edition of its ambitious CYBERSECURITY VENTURES acceleration program. Aimed at supporting innovative startups and SMEs, the program follows a successful first edition and is designed to foster the creation of new companies through structured acceleration, while enhancing cybersecurity capabilities across the Spanish public and private sectors.
The selection process is now open. The training and mentoring program begins on June 9 and runs for 10 weeks, with two weekly sessions of 4.5 hours each in the morning. Sessions will take place from June to mid-July and resume in September. In addition, participating companies will benefit from personalized consulting hours on legal, tax, and digital marketing topics and guidance from expert mentors.
To be eligible, companies must have a clear connection to cybersecurity, either because it is their core business, offering innovative cybersecurity products or services, or because it is essential to their operations (online sales, etc.), and they need to apply cybersecurity to safe digital environments for their customers.
Participating companies must already be incorporated and generally established no more than five years ago (or up to seven years for companies in strategic sectors such as biotechnology, energy, and industrial technologies).
This program is part of the INCIBE Emprende initiative, within the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, and funded by the Next Generation EU program.
As a collaborating entity of the program, BIC Euronova will offer acceleration programs, talks, workshops, events, and incubation services to the participating projects. This initiative will provide participants, whether individuals, entrepreneurs, or businesses, with solid cybersecurity knowledge, essential to operating safely in today’s digital environment. Spain currently ranks third worldwide in cyber threat detections (6% of global cases), following Japan and Poland.

INCIBE Emprende aims to promote entrepreneurship in cybersecurity by strengthening the cybersecurity capabilities of citizens, SMEs, and professionals, and by supporting the growth of the cybersecurity sector.

From 2023-2026, INCIBE will continue supporting Spanish cybersecurity entrepreneurs and startups throughout their innovation journey, from business idea generation to incubation and acceleration. INCIBE has over seven years of experience in supporting cybersecurity entrepreneurship, as evidenced by its Alumni network, which includes some of the most prominent cybersecurity startups at the national and international levels.
All INCIBE Emprende initiatives are part of the National Cybersecurity Industry Support Program, which is included in the Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan (PRTR) under Component 15.
