Málaga TechPark and the Official Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Navigation of the Province of Málaga have signed a collaboration agreement aimed at establishing a strategic framework to promote the socioeconomic development of the province and enhance the internationalization of local businesses.
Both institutions, committed to supporting the business community, have agreed to formalize this partnership within their respective areas of expertise and scope of action. The alliance outlines a series of joint initiatives aimed at providing advisory services, specialized support, and international visibility to companies affiliated with the Andalusian Technology Park in Málaga and the Málaga Chamber of Commerce.
The agreement was signed by Carolina España, Regional Minister of Economy, Finance and European Funds of the Andalusian Government, and President of Málaga TechPark, and José Carlos Escribano, President of the Málaga Chamber of Commerce. It outlines a set of actions to be carried out under this partnership. The first is the organization of international missions. An annual joint mission will continue to be held, focusing on exploring leading global business ecosystems, with a particular emphasis on technology companies and public entities from the province.
Secondly, the agreement includes the organization of joint information sessions and activities targeting companies within Málaga TechPark and the business network affiliated with the Chamber of Commerce. These events aim to promote mutual understanding and foster synergies.
In addition, both entities will collaborate on participation in European programs by jointly analyzing opportunities in EU calls to develop collaborative proposals. The agreement provides for joint institutional representation in key markets, with Málaga TechPark participating in international missions led by the Chamber of Commerce, thereby strengthening the global image of the park’s tech companies.
The agreement will also promote integration into strategic platforms. Málaga TechPark will join the Málaga Export Hub, an initiative of the Chamber of Commerce designed to boost the international presence of Málaga-based exporters. In turn, the Chamber of Commerce will become part of the Ricardo Valle Institute of Innovation (INNOVA IRV), promoted by Málaga TechPark, enhancing its role in innovation and technology transfer.
Finally, both institutions will carry out joint promotional activities, collaborating on institutional visibility and the hosting of international delegations.
To ensure proper implementation and monitoring of the agreement, which will last four years, a joint commission composed of representatives from both organizations will be established.
This agreement marks a significant step in strengthening Málaga’s business ecosystem and reinforces the shared commitment to business growth, innovation, and international expansion.
