Málaga TechPark has organised the online demonstration event for the European Erasmus+ DiTwin project in collaboration with the project partners.
Málaga TechPark together with the project partners. The event attracted more than 70 participants from across Europe, including teachers, trainers, and professionals from the field of Vocational Education and Training (VET).
The DiTwin project, co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union, brings together a consortium of eight European partners, including Málaga TechPark and the University of Málaga. Its main goal is to help VET centres – especially those without access to advanced laboratories – provide their students with hands-on, experiential learning opportunities that match the real needs of today’s industry. During the event, participants were introduced to the project’s main outcome: a digital twin–based learning platform designed to make practical training more accessible. Several use cases were also demonstrated, showing how the platform can be applied in 3D printing, robotics, and automation.
Different partners led the presentations:
· Málaga TechPark and Learnable (Italy) introduced the DiTwin project and moderated the session.
· The University of Málaga (Spain) presented examples from its 3D printing labs and the Robot Machine Technician module.
· Digital Smart (Lithuania) shared a demonstration focused on automation.
The event closed with a Q&A session and concluding remarks underlining the importance of projects like DiTwin in modernising VET, making advanced technologies more accessible, and strengthening teachers’ digital skills. Find out more about the DiTwin project on the project website.
