Málaga TechPark has launched ‘Málaga TechPark Conecta’, a mobile application developed by TDconsulting, a company belonging to the TOPdigital Group, which aims to transform the way park employees commute every day.

The tool, promoted by the Sustainability Group of the Málaga TechPark Execs business club, to which the developer company belongs, encourages car sharing and collaboration among employees of different companies, helping to reduce traffic, emissions, and costs associated with individual transport, while promoting more sustainable and efficient mobility.

With more than 27,000 employees and over 700 companies located in the park, Málaga TechPark faces the challenge of managing the internal mobility of a constantly growing business ecosystem. In this context, Málaga TechPark Conecta is presented as a digital solution specifically designed to address these needs, integrating technological innovation, sustainability, and a sense of community.

The app, available for Android and iOS devices, allows users to easily register using their corporate email and create a driver or passenger profile. From there, users can offer or request rides, and the system uses matching algorithms to identify compatible routes based on location, schedules, and commuting frequency.

The operation of the app is simple yet incorporates advanced technology to ensure a practical and safe user experience. Users can manage one-time or recurring trips, geolocate ride partners, communicate via internal messaging, and view statistics on CO₂ emission savings and sustainably travelled kilometres.

In addition, the system includes a reputation and rating model to build trust among participants, as well as the possibility of integrating trips with work calendars to automate travel planning. In future phases, the platform will include new functionalities such as connections to electric vehicle charging points, integration with public transport, and an incentive system for the most active users.

The application was recently presented to companies during an information session held at The Green Lemon building, where TDconsulting developers offered live demonstrations and explained its potential to improve efficiency and sustainability in daily commuting.

This initiative is part of the Sustainable Mobility Plan of Málaga TechPark, which promotes car sharing, electric mobility, and smart traffic management as part of its commitment to a greener, more connected, and more efficient park model.
