Hrider 9th Anniversary Presence 32 Countries 4 Continents €2 Million Revenue
  • More than 700 companies worldwide use the Málaga-based start-up’s technology, the first Human Resources company to implement generative AI

Today, start-up Hrider celebrates its 9th anniversary, with a presence in 32 countries across 4 continents, managing more than half a million employees from 700 companies worldwide. Last year, it exceeded €2 million in revenue and opened its first office in Mexico to support its 50 clients there and continue expanding its market share in a country with significant potential.

The LATAM team has been strengthened with 5 new employees, bringing Hrider’s total workforce to 25 people. One of the key drivers of its continued expansion is the company’s commitment to innovation and to offering a differentiated product, the perfect complement for adding value (intelligence) to companies. In 2021, the Málaga-based company became the first Human Resources technology provider to implement generative AI.

Hrider, based in Málaga TechPark, was founded with the goal of making strategic talent management accessible to companies of any size, enabling HR departments to adopt continuous improvement processes that, until then, had only been available to large multinational corporations.

Its technology solution focuses on measuring and developing employees’ capabilities, facilitating the tracking of their objectives, and designing professional development and career plans. Its platform also enables organisations to monitor employee engagement and well-being. With a strong focus on continuous innovation, its software integrates advanced People Analytics and Artificial Intelligence.

The company’s strategy has always prioritised product quality and high specialisation in Talent Intelligence, positioning itself as the ideal complement to any generalist HR system focused on administrative and control processes. Hrider enables corporate management to make strategic decisions based on solid data derived from highly agile performance assessment processes, 360º feedback, and organisational climate and culture analyses in medium and large-sized companies.

Hrider is currently the most widely used system in HR master’s programmes, helping future professionals learn about Talent Intelligence. It is the only cloud-based software that assesses Psychosocial Risk Factors COPSOQ ISTAS21 in compliance with regulations, and it holds the Official ISO 27001 Certification, the most demanding standard in information security.

User and company data are protected under the most rigorous global protocols. In addition, its integration with corporate systems and partnerships with leading administrative software providers make Hrider an ideal solution for adding advanced intelligence to HR functions.

During its first year, Hrider acquired clients in 5 countries across multiple sectors, including Thyssenkrupp, Viajes El Corte Inglés and UNICEF. The following year, in 2018, it reached a client base of 200 companies across 8 countries. In 2019, its portfolio grew to 260 companies in 10 countries, its workforce surpassed 10 employees, and organisations such as Admiral, ESADE Foundation, Manos Unidas and Mr. Wonderful joined its client base. During the pandemic years, Hrider remained committed to its team, avoiding temporary or mass layoffs, and continued to grow in a market that increasingly supported agile digital platforms for remote workforce management for organisations of any size.

“We have managed to create a new market segment: a specialised solution that, unlike generalist alternatives, addresses the most strategic aspect of Human Resources: talent management,” says Hrider’s Product Manager, Rocío Valenzuela. She adds: “Our goal has always been to help companies build happier workplaces by providing next-generation technology that applies mathematics to unlock employee potential and transform organisations into more efficient entities. With our cloud-based People Analytics platform, we empower HR professionals to become the Intelligence Centre of their companies.”

Daniel del Río, CEO and Tech Lead, explains that the company’s philosophy has always been to create a human-centred tool rather than one focused on control. He notes that Hrider’s success stems from its strong product focus since its inception, developing the best possible solution for companies, fully adaptable to each case and highly user-friendly.

Hrider has always grown through its own resources, following a bootstrapping model, without relying on external investors or funding rounds, and reinvesting its profits to strengthen the company. “We have maintained the same corporate philosophy throughout the years: our team works toward a shared goal, and everyone understands how their contributions drive growth. For this reason, we share part of our profits with employees and implement an intensive internal promotion and recognition plan,” concludes Daniel del Río.
