Málaga TechPark participates as a partner in the European project H2Excellence, an initiative aimed at driving cutting-edge research in the field of fuel cells and green hydrogen.
As part of this project, a call for entries was launched last March for the Best Thesis Awards, a European competition designed to recognize the most outstanding master’s and doctoral theses related to these technologies.
In its first edition, the competition, sponsored by the Italian Hydrogen Association (H2IT), already features finalists from France, Italy, and Poland.
The finalist projects address key topics for the future of hydrogen, such as new methods for producing hydrogen from salt water, innovative techniques for transforming minerals with ammonia, and solutions for efficient hydrogen storage. They also explore different approaches for large-scale transportation, advances in fuel cell materials, and strategies to decarbonize the gas network.
This recognition highlights the strategic role of green hydrogen in the energy transition and acknowledges the contributions of young researchers who, through their proposals, offer innovative solutions with significant potential impact.
The award ceremony will take place in Italy in the coming days, coinciding with the closing event of the European Fuel Cell Conference. This gathering will bring together representatives from industry, SMEs, research centers, innovation hubs, and universities to discuss the sector’s challenges and explore new avenues for collaboration.
An occasion to celebrate talent, scientific excellence, and the future of innovation in green hydrogen and fuel cells.
