The Ricardo Valle Innovation Institute Foundation (Innova IRV) has taken a new strategic step in its international expansion by incorporating its company, Innova IRV Microelectronics SL, as a member of the AENEAS (Association for European NanoElectronics Activities), a renowned European industry association driving innovation in micro- and nanoelectronics.
AENEAS is a non-profit organization representing large and medium-sized companies, research centers, and universities engaged in key technologies for developing advanced electronics solutions in Europe. Its main objective is to promote Research, Development, and Innovation to strengthen the competitiveness of the European industry across the entire value chain of electronic components and systems.
This association facilitates major collaborative initiatives such as Xecs, PENTA, and EURIPIDES² programs, all aimed at fostering innovation projects in micro- and nanoelectronic components and systems.
With the establishment of IMEC in Málaga TechPark and the emergence of new strategic challenges requiring deeper collaboration with European institutions, Innova IRV considers it a priority to attract investment and develop innovation initiatives in the microelectronics sector. This is a field projected to require over 50,000 new highly skilled workers in the EU, in addition to international cooperation to advance smaller node technologies that enable supercomputing and AI at competitive costs with minimal energy consumption.
Innova IRV’s integration into AENEAS aligns with its mission to promote technology transfer, entrepreneurship, and digital sovereignty through strategic alliances with key scientific and industrial players. This membership strengthens its positioning in international innovation networks and opens new opportunities for multilateral collaboration in microelectronics, semiconductors, artificial intelligence, and high-performance computing.
