BIC Euronova, the Málaga-based incubator for innovative companies, with over 33 years of activity as a pioneering European Business and Innovation Center (CEEI), presents a highly positive performance report for 2024
Innovative companies hosted at the European Business and Innovation Center (CEEI) of Málaga, BIC Euronova, located in the Andalusia Technology Park – Málaga Tech Park, generated a total of 227 jobs in 2024.
The same year, BIC Euronova welcomed 7 new innovative companies, reaching a total of 34 resident businesses in its facilities, including 9 with foreign capital. Additionally, 43 companies operated through its virtual incubator, and 8 were based in its Coworking space, leading to an average occupancy rate of nearly 90%.
As part of the Acelera Startup project—led by BIC Euronova in collaboration with PwC and funded by the School of Industrial Organization (EOI)—the Malaga CEEI accelerated 120 Andalusian startups in 2024. BIC Euronova also made a strong commitment to cybersecurity by accelerating 10 additional startups under the Cybersecurity Ventures program, developed in partnership with INCIBE, Spain’s National Cybersecurity Institute, through its INCIBE Emprende initiative.
This program awarded €5,000 in prizes to the three best projects. BIC Euronova organized 60 training sessions—40 as part of Acelera Startup and 20 under INCIBE Emprende. In collaboration with the University of Malaga, BIC Euronova also hosted a Hackathon to encourage university students to develop entrepreneurial ideas focused on cybersecurity.
For the first time, a Málaga-based startup from BIC Euronova, Aliqindoi, was selected for the SkyDeck accelerator program in Silicon Valley, organized by Berkeley. BIC Euronova, SkyDeck’s Global Strategic Partner in Spain, submitted the company’s application.
These figures reinforce BIC Euronova’s position as a leading and pioneering incubator in Málaga, supporting the creation, incubation, acceleration, consolidation, and internationalization of innovative businesses. 25% of companies at Málaga TechPark have either been incubated at BIC Euronova or are currently housed there. Its startup survival rate stands at around 80%—a testament to its long-term impact.
With a strong international focus, BIC Euronova continued to promote the global reach of startups through its membership in the European Business Network (EBN) and its global connections, including a technical office in China to support business services and attract investment.
Five companies supported by BIC Euronova participated in international projects, and two were assisted with soft landing services. The center also engaged in international innovation forums and welcomed delegations from Moldova, China, Germany, and other countries interested in its know-how.
BIC Euronova organized over 30 events to foster networking and synergy among innovative companies, including its well-known Innovation Breakfasts.
In 2024, BIC Euronova also worked on several European project proposals across fields such as circular economy, AI applications in business, blue economy, open innovation, investment attraction, construction sector technology, and inclusive entrepreneurship. The center also led a Social Innovation project titled Migrants in Business.
Other 2024 highlights are: Over 100 entrepreneurs received business mentoring, 10 companies were supported in their fundraising efforts, and 46 companies received personalized business consulting.
Additionally, 16 companies joined the national open innovation initiative, ANCES Open Innovation. BIC Euronova co-organized a new edition of the Keiretsu Forum Andalucía, supporting private investment for Andalusian startups
In the same year, IC Euronova continued to lead the Málaga Startup Network initiative, strengthening the local entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem through four workgroup meetings.
The company also remains the headquarters of ANCES, the Spanish National Association of CEEIs/BICs, with BIC Euronova’s Director General, Álvaro Simón de Blas, serving as its President. Through ANCES, BIC Euronova awarded the EIBT (Technologically Based Innovative Company) seal to five companies: Gecor, Culturefit, Visitas Virtuales, HHF Protein, and AGPhotonics.
In addition, the center carried out 15 infrastructure improvement projects, including a major upgrade to its solar photovoltaic system, reaffirming its commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency.
The main sectors of activity among companies at BIC Euronova include engineering, Industry 4.0, photovoltaics, cybersecurity, e-health, aerospace, social innovation, new materials, design, and training, among others.

With over 33 years of activity, BIC Euronova has supported 5,418 entrepreneurial projects and helped launch 1,020 new companies. A total of 546 companies have been directly incubated in its facilities, staying for an average of 2.75 years and achieving a survival rate of about 80%. The center has directly created or preserved over 6,000 jobs, underscoring the critical role of BIC Euronova and CEEIs in driving employment and economic growth.
