Carolina España, Minister of Economy, Finance and European Funds of the Andalusian Regional Government and President of Málaga TechPark, made an institutional visit to the Teatro del Soho CaixaBank. She was welcomed by Antonio Banderas, President of the Teatro del Soho CaixaBank, and Aurora Rosales, the Theatre’s Director. Also attending the visit were Felipe Romera, General Director of Málaga TechPark, and Antonio Jesús García Acedo, Territorial Delegate for Economy, Finance and European Funds in Málaga.
This visit reflects the strong connection between Málaga TechPark and Teatro del Soho CaixaBank, two strategic hubs in the city that have been strengthening ties in recent years. The meeting took place within the framework of a new collaboration agreement, which builds upon and expands the protocol signed in 2024.
The main goal is to promote cultural, innovation, and knowledge transfer initiatives jointly. The agreement represents a decisive step toward creating a shared space that bridges two of Málaga’s strategic pillars: technology and culture. In essence, it brings the innovative and business activity of the tech park closer to the city’s cultural heart, while integrating the creative industries associated with the theatre into Málaga TechPark’s ecosystem of companies and startups.
Among the actions outlined in the agreement are:
- The organization of a major Culture & Technology Day
- The promotion of the theatre’s programming among the park’s business community
- The launch of joint activities exploring technological solutions to challenges in the cultural sector
The agreement also includes exclusive benefits for Málaga TechPark’s companies and professionals, such as invitations and access to top-level cultural events at the Soho CaixaBank.
This new collaboration reinforces Málaga’s position as a benchmark city for the convergence of culture and innovation. With this step, Málaga TechPark reaffirms its strategy of expanding beyond the park’s physical boundaries, strengthening its presence in the city and promoting a public–private collaboration model that drives innovation, entrepreneurship, and economic growth.
