The event brought together regional authorities, clusters and industries involved in Cybersecurity in the field of Defence
Málaga TechPark hosted the conference ‘Dual-Use Technologies 2022. Cybersecurity & digital applications in defence,’ organised by the European Commission and the Idea Agency. The main themes of the event are Cybersecurity and Cyberdefence, although other critical digital technologies for Defence will also be discussed, such as robotics, big data, autonomous systems, AI and microprocessors.
The event brought together regional authorities, clusters and industries involved in cybersecurity in the field of defence. Intending to present funding opportunities for projects related to digital technologies and cybersecurity through European funds (European Defence Fund, Digital Fund and Horizon Europe), as well as discuss and share projects, use cases and best practices.
The conference included the following activities:
- BILATERAL MEETINGS (B2B meetings): pre-arranged bilateral meetings that offered participants the possibility of establishing strategic contacts that could lead to collaborations of various kinds (collaboration in R&D&I, commercial or joint venture, among others). These meetings were open to the participation of companies, R&D&I centres, institutions or any other type of entity related to the theme of the event.
- TECHNOLOGICAL CHALLENGES: some of the main corporations in the field of Defence have presented their technological challenges related to cybersecurity and cyberdefence. The participants in this activity had the opportunity to request a bilateral meeting with these corporations and propose their solutions to these challenges.
- VISITS TO COMPANIES: visits have been made to some of the most relevant companies in the Málaga TechPark environment, allowing them to see a sample of the capabilities and potential of Andalusia and the strength of its support ecosystem.
