The first session of “Connecting European TechParks” took place last week. This European initiative is organised by Málaga TechPark together with Linköping Science Park in Sweden, Adlershof Technology Park in Germany, Basque Country Technology Park in Spain, and NOI Techpark in Italy.
The programme was created to strengthen business collaboration between leading European technology parks and generate new international business opportunities. In this first edition, around 70 companies are involved, within a broader network that brings together more than 3,000 companies, universities and R&D organisations across the five participating parks. This creates a high-value environment for cross-border cooperation and the development of innovative projects.
Held virtually on 6 May, the first session gave participating companies the opportunity to learn first-hand about the strategic challenges and collaboration opportunities presented by five leading companies: Sener, Actia, Swobbee, Lynka and HBI. Each company shared its priorities, technological needs and potential areas of cooperation with innovative companies from the participating technology parks.
Through this initiative, companies gain direct access to leading European firms, can identify new business opportunities, build international connections and present innovative solutions to specific market needs.
Following this first phase of challenge presentations, participating companies can request bilateral meetings with the companies of interest to them. The leading companies will then select the applications that best match their strategic needs.
The next phase of the programme will take place on 27 May, with a series of B2B meetings designed to turn the identified challenges into concrete opportunities for collaboration and business development.
By organising “Connecting European TechParks”, Málaga TechPark strengthens its role as an active driver in connecting European technology ecosystems, promoting the internationalisation of its companies and cooperation with other leading parks in innovation, technology and business development.
