Málaga TechPark has taken part in the in-person meeting of the European project AccessCoVE, held in June in Stockholm (Sweden), with the aim of continuing progress in the development of a Center of Vocational Excellence in accessibility.
AccessCoVE, an initiative framed within the Erasmus+ program, seeks to develop education and vocational training programs focused on the implementation and evaluation of accessibility services, both in the field of public policy and in the private business sector. The consortium driving this project is made up of 24 entities from Greece, Sweden, Italy, and Spain.
During the meeting, project partners analysed the progress achieved so far and shared updates on the current status of the various ongoing activities. One of the main focuses of the gathering was the creation of training modules and materials that will contribute to accessibility training from a European perspective.
Málaga TechPark is actively involved in the project’s activities and coordinates two of them. On the one hand, it leads the launch of five working groups designed to present the project results and identify the needs of sector experts. On the other hand, it is driving the creation of an International Cooperation Network on Accessibility, currently defining its structure, activities, and participation models.
In the coming months, Málaga TechPark will be responsible for disseminating both the working groups and the international network, helping to highlight the strategic value of accessibility and to strengthen alliances at the European level.
