- During the international Transfiere 2025 event, the Multiplier Event of the European DiTwin project took place
The event, organized by Málaga TechPark and the University of Málaga, welcomed 50 participants, including vocational training teachers, school directors, university professors, and representatives from international organizations. The session began with interventions by Sonia Palomo (Málaga TechPark) and Víctor Muñoz (University of Málaga), who introduced the DiTwin project and highlighted its role in driving digital innovation in vocational education and training.
Participants also had the opportunity to take part in a hands-on demonstration at the Málaga TechPark stand, where they learned about the robot developed by the University of Málaga as part of the project and experienced firsthand how Digital Twin technology can be integrated into educational environments.
What is DiTwin and What Does It Propose?
DiTwin is an initiative funded by the Erasmus+ program (KA220-VET), aimed at improving vocational training in Europe by using virtual laboratories based on Digital Twin technology, particularly in centers that lack advanced physical infrastructure for technical practices.
The project provides educational institutions and teachers with key tools for digital transition. Below are the main activities and outcomes of the project:
- DiTwin Modules: Practical content for developing skills aligned with Industry 4.0.
- DiTwin Platform: Online access to modules for classroom use.
- Teacher Manual: Resources to facilitate the implementation of Digital Twin-based learning.
- Transnational Course: Training for teachers on the didactic use of these technologies.
- Video Tutorials: A visual guide to incorporating the modules in class.
- Online Demonstration Event: To showcase the platform and its operation.
The presence of DiTwin at such a large international event reinforces its position as a reference initiative for the digital transformation of education while strengthening ties with key stakeholders in both the educational and industrial sectors.
The insights and contacts generated during the event will contribute to further improving the project’s modules and facilitate their adoption in vocational training centers across Europe. DiTwin continues to advance in its mission to equip teachers and students with the digital skills required by Industry 4.0.
