- The Association of Science and Technology Parks in Spain (APTE) is launching the second edition of “Espacios de Innovación APTE” (APTE Innovation Spaces), a consolidated initiative following the success of its first edition. The program aims to showcase cutting-edge R&D&I infrastructures located in member parks and strengthen their role as key drivers of Spain’s scientific, technological, and economic development
In this new edition, 17 science and technology parks across 10 autonomous communities will open their doors on November 13 and 14, offering guided visits to 39 innovation spaces. The initiative will provide researchers, companies, public administrations, and citizens with the opportunity to explore 32 key infrastructures, including Unique Scientific and Technical Infrastructures (ICTS), innovation centers, and living labs that facilitate knowledge transfer and technological experimentation.
By expanding the number of participating spaces and its reach, this second edition seeks to consolidate itself as a leading platform for collaboration among the agents of the Quadruple Helix – academia, industry, government, and civil society – strengthening innovation culture across Spain.
The key objectives of this edition are:
- Showcase ICTS, innovation infrastructures, and living labs located in science and technology parks, highlighting their strategic role in R&D&I.
- Promote collaboration among researchers, companies, administrations, and civil society to generate innovative projects with real impact.
- Highlight the value of living labs as open spaces for experimentation, testing, and co-creation of new technological solutions.
- Boost Spain’s scientific and technological competitiveness, positioning the country as an international benchmark in innovation.
- Facilitate access to cutting-edge infrastructures, contributing to research and innovation across multiple sectors.
With this second edition, “Espacios de Innovación APTE” (APTE Innovation Spaces) reaffirms the commitment of Spanish science and technology parks to transform the country’s production model, supporting economic growth based on science, technology, and innovation.
