  • This training is sponsored by big Malaga TechPark companies such as Accenture, Virus Total by Google and Dekra.
  • At the end, students will receive a University Extension Course Diploma from the UMA.

The Digital Transformation Observatory ‘Digital Eye’, set up by Malaga TechPark and the University of Málaga, is launching a new Cybersecurity Specialisation Training Pills Programme. This training is sponsored by big companies included in the innovation ecosystem of the park, such as Accenture, Virus Total by Google or Dekra.

In this case, it is a 100-hour online course with 20 places fully subsidised by Accenture and Virus Total by Google, with a total amount of €300. This course will provide content with valuable, current and quality information, thanks to the contribution of the participating companies.

The training will take place from 25 April to 9 June this year – Monday to Friday from 17:30 to 20:30 hours -, with the recognition of a University Extension Course Diploma from the University of Malaga at the end of the course. The sessions will be given by experts in the field of cybersecurity, using a practical approach.

The registration period will be open from 1 to 25 March through the Digital Eye project website, where all the information about the course is available: www.digitaleye.uma.es/formación

Once registration has been completed, the selection process will take place between 25 and 28 March, with preference given to recent graduates who have the required ICT skills to complete the course.

“Accenture wants to take the message of cyber resilience everywhere. Cyber resilient companies can operate under persistent threats and sophisticated attacks, enabling them to safely embrace technological change and increase their value. The growing importance of cybersecurity is taken into account as a success factor, and that is why we support this training, which is so closely aligned to today’s needs,” explains Toni de la Prieta, Managing Director Lead at Advanced Technology Center at Accenture Spain.

The Vice Rector for Business, Territory and Digital Transformation of the UMA, Javier López, highlights several aspects of the initiative: “The Training Pills Programme is an innovative mechanism to achieve the rapid specialisation of recent graduates and ICT professionals in those technologies that are in high and immediate demand in the business sector. In the particular case of the Cybersecurity Pill, the course content has been designed together with the sponsoring companies in order to achieve a specialisation adjusted to the job profiles currently required in the Cybersecurity sector”.
