The Malaga TechPark Execs Executives Club celebrates two years at full capacity

  • This project was born during the pandemic and brings together entrepreneurs and managers who account for more than 70% of the Park’s employment volume.

Malaga TechPark Execs, the Executives and Entrepreneurs Club of the Malaga technopolis, is now two years old.  This forum, which was created with the aim of promoting collaboration between companies in Malaga TechPark and giving visibility to professional excellence, without neglecting its special significance in the current context, has managed to consolidate its foundations and become a focus of reference inside and outside the technopolis.

This project was born during the pandemic and brings together entrepreneurs and managers who account for more than 70% of the Park’s employment volume.

The club, which is promoted and coordinated by the park’s management, is made up of more than fifty business leaders, including the CEOs and senior executives of the following companies:   Accenture, ADIF, Aeorum, Aertec. Air liquide, ANCES, Anovo, APTE, Arelance, Bukit, CaixaBank, Cardivais, CGI, Dedalus, Dekra, DHV, Endesa, Ericsson, Euronutra, EY, Fernández y Canivell, Freepik, Fujitsu, General Elevadores, Google, Grupo Babel, Grupo Premo, Grupo Top Digital, Hispasec, IASP, Idneo, Keysight, LDA, Lynka, Mades, Minsait by Indra, Montero Alimentación, Opplus, Oracle, Orange, Predictiva, PwC, Talan, TDK, Tedial, Telefónica, Torsa, Tupl, UMA, ViewNext and Vodafone España.

Two years later, Malaga TechPark Execs continues to strengthen the ecosystem of the park through its companies, promoting talent and R&D&I projects and strengthening the links between the companies that make it up.

“St. Augustine of Hippo first said, but it was simplified and popularized by Jacques Cousteau, that you can only love what you know and you can only care for what you love. Getting to know each other better and better, working on common interests and challenges, such as the development of training proposals with the UMA, improving the employability of graduates, giving visibility of companies to students, promoting and developing talent, have been some of the actions of this time”, highlights the president of the directors’ club, Ezequiel Navarro.

Navarro adds that “from the club came the proposal of Fundación Innova, the Ricardo Valle Institute, which now transcends Malaga TechPark and has allowed us to work together on innovation and investment projects with the UMA and the City Council as the mainstays. It has been an intense two years that have allowed us to make progress in collaboration, one of the keys to the success of the world’s most cutting-edge technological ecosystems. The more you give, the more you get. Indeed, presenting a cohesive and collaborative team is also helping more technology companies to decide to come to Malaga, because they see that there are already models of collaboration, co-creation and open innovation working between companies and with the UMA”.

“The club crystallizes the idea that Malaga TechPark is not a physical space, but a community that transcends its spatial limits, a powerful engine for the structuring of the innovation ecosystem of Metropolitan Malaga”, concludes the president of Malaga TechPark Execs.

“With the launch of this club, cooperation between companies in the park has been strengthened and it has been a key instrument for the creation of the Ricardo Valle Institute of Innovation as a tool for the development of large business projects based on innovation”, says the general manager of Malaga TechPark, Felipe Romera.

Actions

One of the initiatives carried out by Malaga TechPark Execs has been the launch of a video campaign on social networks, mainly Linkedin. Last year, the first campaign served to highlight the importance of collaborations between companies and the consolidation of the innovation ecosystem around different areas or connection opportunities promoted by Malaga TechPark: Ideas, Nature, People, University, Talent and Sustainability..

The second wave, a series of 30 short video clips, allowed members of the Malaga TechPark Execs management club to share concrete experiences of these business collaborations.

This year, the campaign launched by the Club de Directivos on LinkedIn consists of publicizing those products, solutions and services that are implemented by companies. Under the slogan ‘Powered by Malaga TechPark’, the wave consists of five video campaigns with these products that are being launched from 11 May to 30 June throughout Europe.

Another of the actions that is being consolidated is the visit of the members of the Executives Club to the facilities of the companies in the park to get to know the operation of each of them at first hand.
