The University of Málaga (UMA) and OPPLUS have officially presented the UMA–OPPLUS Chair: Impact on Process Training, during an event held at the Rectorate of the University of Málaga.
This new Chair aims to foster collaboration between academia and the business sector, promoting innovation, applied research, and training in the areas of management, technology, and organizational development.
Directed by José Manuel Núñez Sánchez, the OPPLUS Chair will have an annual budget of €20,000, allocated to joint projects that strengthen the connection between academic knowledge and the needs of the productive sector.
Among its main lines of action are the organization of training and outreach activities, the development of research and innovation projects, and the promotion of university talent through initiatives that facilitate knowledge transfer to the business environment.
At the end of the event, attendees enjoyed a cocktail reception on the Rectorate terrace, providing a space for dialogue and networking among institutional, business, and academic representatives.
“This collaboration represents an opportunity to further strengthen the relationship between the University and the business sector, creating shared value and enhancing talent development alongside the province’s largest employer,” said José Manuel Núñez, Director of the OPPLUS Chair at the University of Málaga.
