- The region positions itself in Antwerp as a key tech and microelectronics hub in Southern Europe, with eyes set on imec’s upcoming arrival in Málaga
Antwerp is currently the global epicenter of technology as it hosts ITF World 2025, the major international forum organized by imec. In this strategic setting, the innovation ecosystem of Andalusia and Málaga is standing out, showcasing the region’s strength and international projection.
Representatives from Andalucía TRADE, the Regional Government of Andalusia, Málaga TechPark, the INNOVA IRV Foundation, Málaga City Council, and the University of Málaga are actively participating in the event, united by a shared vision: to establish Andalusia—and particularly Málaga—as a leading technological and microelectronics hub in Southern Europe.
This presence not only places the region on the map for global tech leaders but also gains special relevance in light of the upcoming installation of imec in Málaga—one of the most significant milestones in the region’s future.
Public-private collaboration and institutional cohesion are proving to be key in driving a strong, expanding innovation ecosystem, ready to compete at the highest levels of the global tech landscape.
