The Málaga-based delegation travelled to Paris to join key players shaping Europe’s technological future
Málaga TechPark has consolidated its position in the global innovation ecosystem following its participation in European Deeptech Week, held in Paris from 16 to 20 March 2026. The Málaga-based delegation, whose attendance formed part of the strategic actions of the European atTRACTION project, was accompanied by two start-ups from its innovation ecosystem: Bioherent, based at Málaga TechPark, and Teco Mobility, from the Digital Content Hub.
The event, organised by Bpifrance and Inskip Entrepreneurs, was created in response to the need to guarantee Europe’s technological sovereignty. It brought together key players from across Europe’s innovation ecosystems (entrepreneurs, researchers, investors, industry leaders and institutions) to help shape the future of European deep tech with a view to 2040.
Direct connection with European investment
For several days, Bioherent and Teco Mobility were part of a group of 160 start-ups selected to take part in the event. This platform gave them the opportunity to connect with 300 investors and corporate leaders, in a gathering that brought together more than 2,500 participants.
The agenda, designed to inspire, encourage discussion and foster partnerships, enabled the Málaga-based companies to take part in closed-door meetings. These working sessions are key to addressing challenges related to financing, regulation and cooperation at a European scale. The main programme culminated in the flagship event, the Deeptech Summit, held on Thursday 19 March.
Participation in the European Deeptech Week through the atTRACTION project highlights Málaga TechPark’s commitment to acting as a bridge between local talent and Europe’s major decision-making and investment centres, helping deep tech solutions developed in Málaga to scale globally.
Málaga TechPark’s international profile
This mission to the French capital reinforces Málaga TechPark’s strong internationalisation strategy. The technology park not only hosts the global headquarters of the International Association of Science Parks and Areas of Innovation (IASP), but also maintains strategic alliances with leading ecosystems such as Kyoto Research Park (Japan) and the Wuhan Institute of Industrial Innovation (China).
After more than 30 years, Málaga TechPark’s network now spans 211 cities across 77 countries on five continents. In addition to this global reach, it actively participates in European initiatives such as the atTRACTION project and demonstrates strong capacity to attract investment, with more than 74 foreign companies from around 20 countries operating within its facilities.
Overall, this extensive network of international partnerships and connections strengthens Málaga’s position as a key hub for investment attraction, business development and technology transfer at a global level.
