ReeVo Hispasec expands presence in Spain, European expansion

ReeVo, leading European Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP), has announced the acquisition of Hispasec Sistemas S.L. (Hispasec), based at Málaga TechPark.

Through the acquisition of Hispasec, a leading Spanish cybersecurity firm currently serving more than 300 clients across Spain and Latin America, ReeVo reinforces its commitment to becoming a key player in the Spanish market, particularly among small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

This acquisition represents a significant milestone in ReeVo’s international expansion and mergers and acquisitions (M&A) strategy, which aims to triple the company’s revenue by 2030. In addition, it is ReeVo’s first M&A operation in Spain, building on its already existing local presence, and marks the company’s second acquisition outside Italy and its fifth in the past two years.

The combination of Hispasec’s assets and expertise with ReeVo’s scalability, as well as its technical and financial strength, will enhance the cybersecurity services offered to the market while preserving close local engagement with clients at the same time.

As a result of the transaction, Hispasec’s customers will benefit from cutting-edge technologies, continuous R&D investment, AI-driven defence capabilities, and secure, sovereign-by-design cloud solutions, delivering enterprise-grade protection to medium-sized businesses across Europe.

Drivers and Outcomes of the Transaction

This operation marks a turning point in the long-standing relationship between Hispasec and ReeVo, delivering a range of results and advantages:

  • Growth trajectory: The acquisition provides Hispasec the confidence needed to scale and grow sustainably, while enabling ReeVo to integrate advanced cybersecurity consulting services at the same time.
  •  Market demand response: Hispasec and ReeVo’s joining of forces addresses the growing demand for advanced cybersecurity and managed security consulting services, particularly among SMEs.

This alliance allows us to project that legacy at a European level. We are excited to combine our advanced consulting and threat detection expertise with ReeVo’s sovereign infrastructure, offering our clients in Spain and Latin America unprecedented protection within a trusted European framework.”

On this matter, Antonio Román, shareholder of Hispasec, stated: “After 26 years at the helm of Hispasec, this marks the end of a chapter defined by the project’s growth and consolidation. I would like to thank the entire team for their professionalism, commitment and continuous contributions, key factors in achieving our goals over the years.” He added that “the company’s development has been the result of a sustained collective effort, for which I express my most sincere gratitude.”
