The dissemination of the BIM railway classification by the Railway Innovation Hub installed in Malaga TechPark begins

Twenty-five companies and entities in the sector have collaborated and joined synergies to create a unique BIM classification for the railway sector in Spain, now available

The Railway Innovation Hub, based in Malaga TechPark and its associated companies, in line with the drive for innovation, have successfully completed the initiative of the LE BIM strategic line, focused on carrying out a railway BIM classification.

This classification will allow the promotion of the BIM work methodology “Building Information Modeling” in civil works, as well as the use of the digital twin. All this focused on the digitization of infrastructures.

It is important to highlight the interest of the work carried out by Spanish companies with a high level of knowledge at the national and international level and their knowledge regarding the railway infrastructure throughout its life cycle, as well as its commissioning and safety analysis in accordance with regulations. national and European application.

The companies that have participated in this innovative initiative, in addition to Ineco and Grant Thornton as coordinators, are: Abenoga-Inabensa, Actisa, Akka, Apogea, Ayesa, Azvi, Belgorail, Cemosa, Comsa, Dassault Systèmes, Enyse, FCC Construcción, Ferrovial , Engineer Insitu, Ingreen, SDEA Solutions, Sener, Siemens and Sistem; the Cetemet and Tecnalia technology centers; as well as the College of Road, Channel and Port Engineers of Madrid. Additionally, various administrators and infrastructure operators such as ADIF, FGV, FGC, ETS or AOPJA or consultants such as Ingreen have collaborated as Stakeholders.

The result of this collaboration is now available for download on the Railway Innovation Hub website.
