Málaga TechPark, the new brand that gives its name to the Andalusia Technology Park, aims to boost its international projection as well as its link with the city.

The official event to make publicly known the new brand took place on October 16.  The Andalusia Technology Park has evolved since its launch to become an international benchmark space, and the new brand is a new approach to that. A source of talent that is projected more to the world.

The presentation was attended by different local and regional authorities. Among them, the Andalusian Minister of Economy, Rogelio Velasco; the mayor of Malaga, Francisco de la Torre; and the Andalusian Councilor for the Presidency, Elías Bendodo. The General Manager of the park, Felipe Romera, welcomed those present to this Malaga TechPark launch, and pointed out the most relevant aspects in the conception of the new brand and its importance for the future.

The park is a key piece in the new recruitment and retention program that the Regional Ministry of Economic Transformation has begun to design, the preparation of which will be completed in the first quarter of 2021. With this measure, the regional Executive aims to strengthen the innovative and entrepreneurial ecosystem of the community, an objective that will result in improving the competitiveness of the regional economy.

Rogelio Velasco highlighted that “these ecosystems, in which administration, business and innovation go hand in hand, have a double aspect as backbones of the territory and as a leading launching some of the most important clusters for the Andalusian economy ”. He also underlined that “this new logo is more modern and current and highlights the city of Malaga, which is an international benchmark for new technologies.”

On the other hand, the Minister of the Presidency, Elías Bendodo, explained that the presentation of the new brand for this technopolis aims not only to renew its image, but also its personality, “the PTA seeks to be the epicenter of innovation in all senses” after having managed to beat its historical record in 2019 in number of companies, employment and turnover: 644 firms installed, almost 20,000 workers and more than 2,000 million turnover.

With the new ‘Málaga TechPark’ label, the entity intends to take a very important step to boost its international projection, as well as to significantly improve the degree of identification with the park’s community and local citizens.

Since its launch, more than 30 years ago, the Malaga technopolis has constantly evolved to become a benchmark for business innovation at both national and international level. Málaga TechPark aspires to give a name to this growth and contribute to enhancing the values ​​that have made it possible.

The new visual identity of the park will also identify the large number of projects and initiatives that are promoted from the park. Through a recognizable visual universe, based on geometric and modular shapes, a sub-brand language has been built for all these projects promoted by Málaga TechPark; from incubators and entrepreneurship spaces to clusters of companies working in the development of different disruptive technologies.
