TEDIAL, IABM BaM Excellence Award for its smartWork platform with the University of Málaga

  • SmartWork is a media application integration platform.
  • This year, TEDIAL also received Best of Show awards at NAB and IBC

The software development company TEDIAL, based in Málaga TechPark, ends the year with the BaM (Broadcast and Media awards) excellence award from the IABM (The International Trade Association for Broadcast & Media Technology,) in the category ‘MANAGE,’ for its media application integration platform smartWork. This project has been carried out together with the University of Málaga.

According to the IABM, ‘this company has a very good approach to making flexible MAM software, bringing together different software platforms.’ ‘The key here is to deliver the tools with quality and make them work. It’s easy-to-use infrastructure as code (IaC): testable and secure. It’s a really interesting concept, democratising workflow configuration for a supply chain and addressing fundamental activities, such as unifying supplier integrations that otherwise have to be custom-built each time,’ they say.

The development of the smartWork cloud platform is funded by some research and technology development projects:

  • EU EUROSTARS-2 E-2494: iVM, Inmortal Virtual Machine – Solving the Problem of File Format and Infrastructure Obsolescence.

Participating companies: PIQL, RCN, University of Málaga and TEDIAL (2018-2021). Duration: 3 years.

  • CDTI-PID IDI-2020150: Research and Development of a Low-Code System for the Management of Media Flow Orders.
