The Green Lemon of Malaga TechPark hosts an acceleration and training program around Artificial Intelligence.

The Malaga City Council and EOI have developed this entrepreneurship and training program, co-financed by the European Social Fund, which is part of the Technological Training and Employment Plan for the reactivation of the sectors most affected by the Covid-19.

The City Council of Malaga, through el Polo Nacional de Contenidos Digitales, and the Escuela de Organización Industrial (EOI), in collaboration with Malaga TechPark, are launching an initiative around Artificial Intelligence that includes both training activities and the implementation of a pre-incubation program for business projects in this area. This program is co-financed by the European Social Fund and is part of the Technological Training and Employment Plan for the reactivation of the sectors most affected by the Covid-19.

The event was attended by the Councillor Delegate for Innovation and Urban Digitalization, Susana Carillo; the Director of EOI Andalusia, Francisco Velasco; the Director General of Malaga TechPark, Felipe Romera, and representatives of several technology companies.

Specifically, the first AI course is launched in mixed mode (online and face-to-face) to be taught in the facilities of The Green Lemon building in Málaga TechPark and the registration period is now open to participate in the pre-incubation program available at www.eoi.es and www.polodigital.eu/formacion.

Málaga IA coworking program

The first edition of this entrepreneurship program is focused on the field of Artificial Intelligence application and will have capacity for 20 projects. It will be a coworking space as a result of the collaboration between EOI and the City of Malaga.

This initiative, which is free for all participants, will have a training phase at two levels: a plan of specific workshops to help entrepreneurs to develop and validate the business model with agile methodologies adapted to the industry, as well as to develop the essential skills to start it up; and another series of sessions in which specific subjects of the target field of action for the promotion and take-off of the projects of the coworking space will be worked on.

In addition, there will be 40 hours of individualized mentoring for each of the projects by experts to design the business model and its positioning in the national and international market, as well as a series of events aimed at promoting networking and sharing best practices and an Investors Day to attract investors. Registrations can be made at this link.

Training in Artificial Intelligence

The first course to be launched within the program is ‘Artificial Intelligence Course’, of 150 hours duration, free of charge and in blended mode, which is part of the training program in digitization and new professions for the long-term unemployed (POEFE Funds).

Among others, the course has the following objectives:

Identify solutions to business problems using different AI techniques.
Practice programming applied to specific business problems in a simple and free way.
Understand what Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Deep Learning are and why they are emerging exponentially nowadays.
Have basic knowledge of the architectures needed to host the volume of data necessary to train Artificial Intelligence models.
Understand how data can be private or public and know how to manage it properly.

The main requirement to participate in these trainings is to be registered as a job seeker and to be considered long-term unemployed (being unemployed 12 or more months during the last 18 months) and, for their selection, the duration of unemployment, previous training and experience, attitude and motivation, among others, will be taken into account.

The initial places are 20 students and registrations can be made at the following link.
