We spoke with Víctor Muñoz about eLead, the European Vocational Training project

Recently, we have had the opportunity to interview Víctor Muñoz, Professor of Systems and Automation Engineering at the University of Malaga in Málaga TechPark, within the framework of the European eLead project in which the technopolis is currently participating.

eLead is a project of the European Erasmus Plus call that aims to define a new study plan for the qualification of High Technology Leaders, using the European Credit system for Vocational Education and Training (ECVET) and the European Qualifications Framework (EQF). The project will provide educational materials for VET professionals working with SMEs in digital sectors, and a training program (MOOC) for workers in these sectors (the final beneficiaries).

During the last months, we conducted an extensive survey to various companies in the park that helped us to compare and highlight what are the competencies and skills generally associated with digital leadership in the countries of the participating partners. The results of the same survey have been compiled in a Competence Map that is available by clicking here.

With Víctor Muñoz we have been able to talk about the relevance of the eLead project for Spain and for the Vocational Training sector and whether the results of the project can support companies in taking advantage of the opportunities offered by new technologies. Another debated issue has been whether the initiative responds to the needs of trainers in the implementation of educational programs that allow them to acquire digital leadership skills.
